Our organization is based on helping gain experience in the classroom, leadership, guidance, and resources for students in the education program. One of our many resources through the club is access to in-classroom experience. Our advisor has set us up with schools in our community that need assistance. For those students in the first few semesters of college, this program is beneficial in getting them into the classroom environment. Throughout the semester, we hold meetings where we hear from teachers and principals about advice for helping our future career choices. This semester, our big community service event for the Hattiesburg community is having a back-to-school supplies drive. As a club, we are there for each other and create a welcoming environment for all education majors.

Fight Club is a stage combat group that aims to equip its members with proper safety techniques when handling various stage weapons. Not only do we focus on safety, we also highlight the acting portion of the activity and how to make it look and sound realistic for the audience.

The Horn Club at 吃瓜头条 aspires to allow horn players in the community to collaborate and share their interests in playing the horn. It will allow anyone to play standard horn repertoire, learn more about the horn, perform concerts within the community, and attend horn workshops and conferences.

吃瓜头条's Investment Portfolio will be student-led with guidance from the annually elected board of directors. By design, Financial Management Association (FMA) and Investment Club (IC) are intended to work closely together. FMA will hold weekly meetings that revolve around a presentation, discussion, and questions. Biweekly, Investment Club will host a meeting directly following FMA. Because the club's holdings are not intended to be short-term or cash cows, the change in the market should not warrant weekly reviews of the portfolio or proposals. IC members are expected to attend the FMA meeting that precedes the IC meeting to stay current on financial trends in the market or broad concepts that could be beneficial. The attendance of IC members will be treated as guests by FMA.
By keeping FMA and IC fundamentally and structurally separate, we keep the scope for potential members broad without preventing from membership those who may want to be involved in one, not the other, for any reason. As the two respective clubs gain momentum, there is potential for a need to combine the two groups, which is an option. However, at ground zero, the current student officer group has determined it necessary to gain more feedback from students, as current impressions of the student body are that FMA and IC are not the same and do not hold the same appeal to everyone, respectively.

USM Martial Arts is all about students teaching other students to defend themselves. Even though all instructors are students, they have either achieved a black belt or have many years of martial arts experience. We practice without body contact, meaning that no one will get hurt by punches or kicks. Last semester we were able to offer only one practice session per week; however, we plan to increase that number for this semester. Important to mention is that it is not mandatory to attend every practice session.

The mission of USM Ultimate is both to teach students new to Ultimate Frisbee about
the sport and its rules, and compete at a high level in competitive events around
the Southeast against other college-level Ultimate Frisbee club teams. We aim to represent
the university well in the competitive landscape of ultimate and create lasting connections
with other members of our sport across colleges, improving both the sport and its
membership. We meet twice weekly in the evenings on Pride field to practice skills
and simulate game scenarios for practice and attend travel tournaments multiple times
during the Fall and Spring semesters. Our practices are open to new and returning
members as we attempt to develop our best team possible for future competitions.

The Counseling Psychology Student Government aims to work with our Counseling Psychology MS and PhD students and faculty to advocate for their needs in numerous ways during their time in our graduate programs. Additionally, we work together with other graduate student governments for fundraising and collaborative opportunities.

Horticulture Club is an inclusive club for everyone! We bond over plant care in a relaxing environment for stressed students. All are welcome from black thumb beginners to botanists. Sustainability is promoted and we love to bring awareness to the importance of plants in our world today. Make friends pruning plants in the greenhouse with the Horticulture Club.

Our mission is to promote and facilitate discussion among peers regarding the issues of sexual misconduct. The goal of this student organization is to help prevent sexual assault and other forms of sexual misconduct. 吃瓜头条 Activities Council is a student funded organization whose goal is to bring students fun and to get them to look forward to something. We host just about 11 events each school semester which can range from movie night, to game nights, to a skate event. It is free for all students, all that is required is their student ID! While hosting these events we bring an open armed positive attitude to students to feel just as comfortable talking or hanging out with us at events, just as much as they enjoy the events.

The USM Mushroom Society is an organization dedicated to the appreciate of the Kingdom Fungi, of which mushrooms are just the tip of the iceberg. Fungi are a hyper-diverse group of microorganisms which play critical roles in ecosystems, food-production, medicine, industry, and human culture. The USM Mushroom Society seeks to provide opportunities for students to 1) learn about fungi and possible career paths relating to mycology, 2) enjoy nature hikes and practice identification of mushrooms in the wild, and 3) to learn from invited experts in the field (including scientists, hobbyists, and those working in industry). Amateurs or experts, all students are welcome to join the Mushroom Society, whether they simply enjoy being outdoors or if they take a professional interest in mycology.

Women in Science and Engineering (WiSE) is a student-run mentoring and networking group focused on recruiting, sustaining, and advancing women students in science, technology, engineering, and math. During each semester, WiSE hosts talks with various women in science from a variety of backgrounds and provides a time for students to talk with these presenters about their experience in their discipline and career path. WiSE also has hosted career services in the past, with workshops aimed at helping women in science grow their professional skills, from resume writing to interview preparation. Other efforts have included outreach to local schools and girl scout troops, Science Fair support, and fund-raising activities. Our organization is truly based on what our members want to see, so we are constantly evolving and growing to best suit our group. We strive to serve our community by making STEM an open, inclusive, and accessible environment for all genders and races. Our vision for WiSE is to not only be a safe place for women in STEM, but also to help our members become strong, confident, and to push against the systematic patriarchy commonly found in STEM.
