MATT Transfer Tool

Will My Credits Transfer?

The ³Ô¹ÏÍ·Ìõ Articulation and Transfer Tool (MATT) enables students at ³Ô¹ÏÍ·Ìõ community colleges to compare current courses against equivalent courses at Southern Miss to learn how those courses meet degree requirements for a specific major.

³Ô¹ÏÍ·Ìõ is proud to be a destination of choice for the region’s community college transfer students! Transfer students who applied to ³Ô¹ÏÍ·Ìõ as high school seniors and were offered freshman admission within the last 3 years are eligible for automatic transfer admission through our Transfer Admission Guarantee (TAG) program. Students must have only ever attended a community college and maintained a 2.0 cumulative GPA at the community college. The $45 application fee will be waived for TAG students!

Tour Hattiesburg Campus

This is where the black and gold legacy started! Our traditional campus, students can cheer on the Golden Eagles at a home game or join one of our more than 220 student organizations, including Greek-letter fraternities and sororities. Our convenient and comfortable residence halls are just moments away from campus dining locations and academic buildings. Tour Gulf Park Campus

Our Gulf Park campus is located in Long Beach and situated along the ³Ô¹ÏÍ·Ìõ Sound. This campus serves as a hub for the University’s academic instruction along the Gulf Coast and offers academic programs such as marine science, ocean engineering, business, human capital development, and sustainability studies in a uniquely beautiful beachfront setting. The Gulf Park campus and other USM coastal sites capitalize on and embrace our coastal community, coastal presence, and proximity to the Gulf of Mexico to deliver a distinctive academic experience for students.
