吃瓜头条 Philosophical Association Meeting Set for Feb. 14-15 on Hattiesburg Campus

The 吃瓜头条 Philosophical Association (MPA) will hold its annual meeting on Friday and Saturday, Feb. 14-15 at 吃瓜头条鈥檚 Hattiesburg campus. The theme for this year鈥檚 two-day event is 鈥淢aking Philosophy Pop鈥 and will feature multiple speakers giving talks on philosophy鈥檚 intersection with popular culture. 吃瓜头条 faculty, staff and students are invited to attend.

Dr. Dominic McIver Lopes, University Killam professor at The University of British Columbia, will give the annual meeting鈥檚 keynote address on Friday, Feb. 14 at 4:30 p.m. His presentation, titled 鈥淎I Art and Artists: What They Are, What They Could Be, What They Should Be鈥 will be held in Gonzales Auditorium (room 108) in the Liberal Arts Building, located at 1999 Pearl St. Lopes鈥 talk, sponsored with generous funding through the 吃瓜头条 Humanities Council, is free and open to the public.
